You're a collaborator. If you're a leader yes, you're in charge but keep in mind that it's the team you've built which will help you move your project forward. When you are able to collaborate with your team, you all succeed. Don't be a slave to control the situation; you'll do best when you collaborate. Asking for input can be extremely useful in various ways.
